This is our best selling seed mixture and it is suitable for most garden birds from sparrows to collared doves. We're using a special wheat in this mix that Phil grows here on the farm. It's very high in protein and purple!
Wiggly Seed is a year round Birdfood, suitable for your table, or feeder.
It contains wheat, groats, black sunflower seed, striped sunflower seed, red dari, black rape. safflower, millet, maize and canary seed. Perfect for use in your seed feeders. Wiggly Seed flows well and is a favourite here in the Wiggly Garden.
Wheat; In most bird seed this is used as a cheap filler, but Farmer Phil's Indigo Wheat is certainly not this! It is grown for it's high protein content, making it a good source of energy and carbohydrates, and it is favoured by the larger birds such as pigeons and collared doves
Red Dari; A cereal which is a valuable source of carbohydrates as is is 70% Starch, and a good source of B-Complex vitamins and is popular with Jays, Doves, Pigeons…and Fishermen!!
Sunflower Seeds; High in oils and energy, popular with all birds
Canary seed; These are super fine, and as their name suggests, are favoured by all of the smaller birds.
Millet; A small white seed, favoured by both tree and house sparrows, reed buntings, finches and tits, siskins and wrens. It is far superior to the red variety, as it has a thin hull, so is easy for these small birds to eat.
