Installation and Maintenance Tips
-
Positioning: Hang the feeder in a quiet, sheltered area, preferably near trees or shrubs, to provide birds with cover while they feed.
-
Refilling: Insert a standard suet cake into the cage and secure it in place. Check regularly to ensure birds have a consistent supply.
-
Cleaning: Use warm, soapy water to clean the feeder every couple of weeks, or more frequently in wet weather. This helps prevent mould and keeps birds healthy.

Q2: Can I use homemade suet cakes in this feeder?
A2: Yes, homemade suet cakes are perfectly suitable as long as they fit securely in the cage.

A3: Check the feeder regularly and refill it as soon as the suet cake is finished or has become soggy.
Q4: Is this feeder squirrel-proof?
A4: While the feeder is not specifically designed to be squirrel-proof, hanging it in a location away from trees and using squirrel baffles can help deter these clever animals.

Q7: Where should I hang the feeder?
