Turn smelly, slimy grass piles into rich, healthy compost — fast.
Wiggly Complete Rot is the natural, farm-proven compost accelerator that balances nitrogen-heavy grass clippings, boosts microbial life, and gets air back into your heap.

Formulated on our regenerative farm in Herefordshire, this mix contains natural minerals, microbial activators, and carbon-balancing ingredients that transform lawn waste into sweet-smelling, nutrient-rich compost.
Perfect for gardeners, allotments, and farms that want to cut methane emissions, reduce waste, and build soil health.

Key Benefits

Speeds Up Decomposition: Converts wet grass clippings into usable compost up to 3× faster.
🚫 Prevents Slimy Rot: Promotes aerobic activity — no smell, no sludge, just crumbly compost.
🌎 Reduces Greenhouse Gases: Aerobic breakdown releases CO₂ instead of methane.
🌿 Improves Soil Fertility: Creates humus that boosts structure, drainage, and microbial life.
Safe & Sustainable: 100% natural, peat-free, and safe for organic gardeners.

  1. Add Grass Clippings: After mowing, layer 10–15 cm (4–6 in) of fresh clippings into your compost bin or heap.
  2. Sprinkle Complete Rot: Use a generous few handfuls (approx. 150–200 g per wheelbarrow of grass — around 0.1 m³).
  3. Layer with Browns: Add an equal depth of straw, dried leaves, or shredded cardboard to balance nitrogen.
  4. Turn Weekly: Fork through every 5–7 days to keep it aerobic.
  5. Repeat: For larger heaps, add another 150 g per 0.1 m³ of new material added.

Within 4–6 weeks, your pile will heat, sweeten, and start turning into dark, crumbly compost ready for worms or soil beds.

Wiggly Tip:
Add a handful of Bokashi Bran or Biochar with each dose for extra microbial activity and nutrient retention. Once the temperature drops below 25 °C, introduce composting worms to finish the job.

At Lower Blakemere Farm in Herefordshire, we practice regenerative farming that mirrors nature’s cycles.
Our Complete Rot blend was developed for our own heaps to transform grass, straw, and cow manure into biologically rich compost — the same compost that feeds our crops and rebuilds our soil.

When you buy Complete Rot, you’re directly supporting a British family farm closing the loop between food, waste, and wildlife.

🌱 Balance the Ratio: Ideal composting sits at 25–30:1 (carbon:nitrogen). Grass alone is 17:1 — too “green.” Adding carbon or Complete Rot brings it to balance.
🔥 Aerobic Power: Oxygen-driven microbes generate warmth (50–60 °C), sanitising your heap and speeding decay.
💨 Gas Exchange: Aeration keeps methane and ammonia out, leaving clean CO₂ and water vapour.
🪱 Humus Creation: Beneficial bacteria and fungi stabilise organic matter into humus — the black gold that holds water, nutrients, and carbon in soil.

By composting grass properly, you’re reducing waste and locking atmospheric carbon back into your soil.

Layer Like a Lasagne: Alternate “greens” (grass, veg peelings) with “browns” (straw, cardboard).
Add Air: Insert ventilation sticks or pipes through the heap.
Keep Moisture Right: It should feel like a wrung-out sponge — add dry browns if it drips.
Avoid Piles of Pure Grass: Mix immediately after mowing; don’t dump in thick mats.
Feed the Heap: Add Lime Mix monthly to neutralise acidity and deter flies.
Supercharge Naturally: Pair with Worm Treat or a scoop of Bokashi-fermented waste for maximum microbial diversity.

Wiggly Tip:
Sieve your finished compost and spread a fine layer as mulch — it’ll suppress weeds and feed your soil all season.

What our customers say

Brilliant live worms and great service! I ordered a batch of live composting worms for my new wormery, and they arrived in perfect condition — lively, healthy, and ready to get to work straight away. The packaging was eco-friendly, and the team even included a little guide on how to settle them in. My kitchen scraps are disappearing fast, and I’ve already started harvesting my first bit of worm compost. Couldn’t be happier!

Fantastic bokashi composting advice As a complete beginner to bokashi composting, I really appreciated how helpful the team were. They answered all my questions quickly and gave me simple, clear instructions to get started. The bokashi bran is top quality and smells fresh and pleasant. After just a few weeks, I’ve turned my kitchen waste into brilliant compost-ready material with no odour or mess. Highly recommended!

Top-notch British birdseed mix The British birdseed from Wigglys is superb. It attracts a lovely variety of garden birds — robins, finches, and even a pair of goldfinches have started visiting regularly. You can tell it’s a quality mix with no fillers or dust. Delivery was quick, and everything was packaged sustainably. It’s become my go-to source for bird feed!
