The Wiggly Story: Bringing Your Garden to Life.

The Wiggly Story: Bringing Your Garden to Life.

Nestled in the heart of rural Herefordshire, within The Duchy of Cornwall estate lies Lower Blakemere Farm – the cherished home of Wiggly Wigglers and founder, Heather Gorringe. From its humble beginnings on Heather’s kitchen table over 30 years ago, our small but dedicated team is working hard on a legacy of sustainability and regeneration. Our farm isn’t merely a plot of land; it’s a dynamic hub where we’re aiming to balance food production with biodiversity and since we started our regenerative journey there’s a real focus on improving soil health and sustainability. Beyond our own endeavours, we’re passionate about sharing best practices and developing products designed to Bring your Garden to life.

Our Background:
Wiggly Wigglers began as a humble idea over 30 years ago, born from a love for nature and a desire to live sustainably. What started as a small venture has blossomed into a beacon of eco-friendly practices and a haven for garden enthusiasts throughout the UK.

The Importance of Our Farm:
Our farm serves as the heartbeat of our operation. Here, we practice mixed farming with arable specialist seed crops and cattle production using regenerative agriculture methods which means we have a focus on soil health and biodiversity and an aim to reduce conventional fertiliser and chemicals year by year. Every decision we make is guided by our commitment to leaving the land better than we found it, ensuring a sustainable future for generations to come. At Wiggly Wigglers, we firmly believe that profitability, people, and the planet are the three essential P’s driving the sustainable success of our farm.

Our Team and Dedication:
Our team embodies the values of hard work, innovation, and a deep-rooted love for the countryside, and have been awarded many awards over the year, from FSB Small Business of the year, through to Silver Gilt for our stand at Chelsea Flower Show. These days, our aim is simple. We want to help inspire others to reconnect with nature and take advantage of the benefits this delivers. That may well be making your own compost, recycling your own food waste, or supporting your garden birdlife… They will all reward you far more than the investment, and of course you will be doing your bit for the planet too.
