Why Choose British Super Suet Fatballs?

British Super Suet Fatballs are a premium, high-energy food designed to support wild birds with the essential nutrients they need for growth, health, and survival. Whether you’re feeding garden birds through harsh winters or helping them prepare for breeding seasons, these fatballs are a versatile and reliable choice.

Each ball is crafted with top-quality ingredients, including beef suet, peanut flour, and nutrient-rich seeds like red millet, white millet, linseed, and oilseed rape. Free from whole wheat grains, they cater to desirable species while deterring larger birds, ensuring a balanced feeding experience in your garden.

Why Are These Fatballs Special?

Premium Nutrition

  • Energy-Dense Formula: Beef suet provides a concentrated source of calories, keeping birds warm and active during colder months.

  • Seed Power: Red and white millet, linseed, and oilseed rape contribute healthy oils and vitamins that promote development and feather quality.

  • No Whole Grains: Free from whole wheat, these fatballs use wheat and peanut flour to discourage larger birds like pigeons while attracting desirable garden birds.

Weather-Proof Reliability

  • Rain or Shine: British Super Suet Fatballs maintain their structure in wet weather and won’t freeze, ensuring birds have access to food whatever the conditions.

Versatile Feeding Options

  • Hanging Feeders: Perfect for feeder-loving birds like Blue Tits, Great Tits, Siskins, and Woodpeckers.

  • Ground and Table Feeding: Crumble the fatballs for ground-feeding birds such as Robins, Wrens, Blackbirds, and Dunnocks.

How to Use British Super Suet Fatballs

  1. In Feeders: Place the fatballs in a hanging feeder to attract birds like Tits, Siskins, and Woodpeckers.

  2. On Tables or Ground: Crumble the fatballs and scatter them on the ground or on a bird table for species that prefer ground feeding.

  3. Year-Round Feeding: Use throughout the year to support birds during nesting, moulting, migration, and winter survival.

Key Features

  • Weight: Approximately 85g per ball, offering a generous serving for your feathered friends.

  • Ingredients: Made with beef suet, peanut flour, wheat flour, red millet, white millet, linseed, and oilseed rape.

  • Pigeon-Resistant: Formulated to deter larger birds while attracting garden favourites.

Q: Where should I hang the suet ball feeder?

A: Hang the suet ball feeder in a location that is easily accessible to birds and preferably in a sheltered area. A sturdy tree branch or a dedicated hook can make ideal spots.

Q: How often should I refill the suet ball feeder?

A: Refill the suet ball feeder as needed, depending on the frequency of bird visits and the size of the suet balls. Check regularly, especially during colder weather when birds may require more energy.

Q: Is it okay to feed suet balls year-round?

A: Yes, suet balls can be fed year-round. They are particularly beneficial during colder months when birds need extra energy to maintain their body temperature. However, birds may enjoy suet balls in any season.

Q: Can suet balls be fed to fledglings or baby birds?

A: Suet balls are generally safe for fledglings and baby birds, but it's crucial to ensure that the food is appropriately sized and not a choking hazard. Additionally, some bird species may prefer softer foods when they are younger.

Q: Are there specific seasons to consider when feeding suet balls?

A: While suet balls are beneficial year-round, they are particularly appreciated during fall and winter when natural food sources may be scarce, and birds require more energy to stay warm.

Q: Can I use any type of suet ball in my feeder?

A: It's advisable to use suet balls specifically designed for bird feeding. Avoid using commercially available suet meant for cooking, as it may contain additives or preservatives that could be harmful to birds.

Q: How can I clean my suet ball feeder?

A: Regularly clean your suet ball feeder to prevent the spread of diseases among birds. Use a mild solution of dish soap and water, and rinse thoroughly. Allow the feeder to dry completely before refilling it.
