Our young mini mealworms (13 to 18mm long). As with the other mealworm species we supply their diet is vegetarian. This means that they are safe to feed to birds and cannot pass on diseases which may be found in larvae fed on meat, such as maggots. Particularly moist, Mini mealworms are very suitable for feeding to fledglings as they are unable to obtain water by drinking.

Our LIVE Mini Mealworms have been part of our offering since 2006, a perfect choice for smaller birds, younger chicks, and wildlife. We’re committed to sustainability, so we package them in compostable plain paper bags—avoiding the environmental impact of single-use plastic tubs. On our farm in Lower Blakemere, we keep our mini mealworms healthy by adding fresh bran regularly and feeding them favourites like carrots. Each order is carefully weighed and bagged by hand to ensure the highest quality and freshness, then dispatched First Class or Next Day to reach you quickly.
