Great Article on Composting Food Scraps from Food Revolution Network.

I think we need to really take responsibility for our waste and benefit from the soil it can make - rather than sending it to landfill or centralised composting etc.
When you think about it  Electric composters, Worm Composting, and Bokashi are all great ways to handle kitchen waste, each with its own pros and cons. Electric composters turn scraps into compost in hours, but they can be expensive and use electricity and what you produce is negligible. Worm composting is a natural, low-cost way to make rich compost with worms, - it does take more time and you do need to ensure the conditions are good in the kit - in order to keep the worms happy. Bokashi is super efficient, even handling meat, and works through fermentation. It does need that extra step to either bury the Bokashi fermentation or add it to a conventional composter. Each method suits different lifestyles and levels of effort, but well worth while.
